Wahine Health — Gynecology Care for Maui

Our approach

What care looks like here.

Most of medicine is designed around throughput: more patients, shorter visits, faster turnover. We built Wahine Health around the opposite premise — that a woman's health deserves time, and that the visit itself should feel different from the moment you walk in. Here's what that means in practice, concretely.

The unhurried visit

New patient visits are a full thirty minutes with your clinician — not thirty minutes of paperwork and vitals with seven minutes of doctor. You talk first. We listen before we examine, and nobody is watching the clock, because the schedule was built so nobody has to.

“I have seen Dr. Giordano for many years. She is very professional, and very kind. You can definitely be at ease, while in her care. She's also really easy to talk to.”

A plan you help build

We practice evidence-first medicine, delivered in plain language: what your options are — hormonal and non-hormonal, procedural and conservative — what the evidence actually says, and what we'd weigh for someone with your history. Targeted labs when they're useful, not reflexively. Then the decision is made together, because you're the one living in the body.

Follow-up is scheduled, not left to chance

Care that gets started and never tuned isn't care — especially hormone therapy, which is begun, adjusted, and monitored. Follow-up goes on the calendar before you leave. Results and messages come through the patient portal, quick non-urgent questions can go to our text line, and many follow-ups can happen by telehealth if you're located in Hawaiʻi or Illinois — because a fifteen-minute medication check shouldn't cost you half a day.

Nothing hidden

Our fees are published, our insurance situation is explained in plain English, and procedure pricing is discussed with you before anything is scheduled. When we're out-of-network, we submit your claim for you as a courtesy. You will never learn the cost of something at checkout.

Small by design

Wahine Health is physician-owned — no hospital system, no private equity, no productivity dashboard deciding your visit length. Two clinicians, a front desk that knows your name, and one office above Wailea Gateway. Small is not a limitation here; it's the feature that makes everything above possible.

“Dr Giordano is one of the best physicians I've ever worked with. I met her when I was working as an RN at the surgical center. She is a professional and skilled surgeon.”

The credentials underneath

Warmth without rigor is just hospitality. Dr. G is board-certified in OB/GYN and Obesity Medicine and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner — the recognized specialty credential in menopause medicine. Ann Craddock is a dual-certified women's health and family nurse practitioner with two decades of Maui practice. The unhurried conversation sits on top of that foundation, not instead of it. Meet us properly here.

See if it fits.

The best way to understand the difference is to experience one visit.
