About us
Two clinicians, one conviction: wāhine deserve unhurried, evidence-based care from people who actually listen.
DO, FACOG, DABOM, MSCP · Owner, Wahine Health
Known to her patients simply as "Dr. G," Dr. Carrie Giordano has practiced medicine since 2005 and built her career around one throughline: women deserve a physician who listens first and tailors everything after.
She earned her bachelor's degree and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago — the city where she spent twelve years in private practice before bringing her expertise to Maui in 2017.
Dr. G holds dual board certifications in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Obesity Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) — the recognized specialty credential in menopause medicine. Together, those credentials cover the terrain where midlife women's health actually lives: hormones, metabolism, and the transitions that connect them.
Her approach to care is deeply collaborative — she builds treatment plans with her patients, not for them. That commitment extends well beyond Wailea: Dr. G has served on medical missions in Bolivia, providing care and resources to underserved women in South America.
A Chicago native, Dr. G and her husband have called Maui home since 2017, along with a rescue dog and cat who are the true rulers of the household. Off the clock you'll find her gardening, hiking, or snorkeling — and yes, she's always happy to trade travel stories at your visit.

Ann's path in medicine began in the early 1990s as a volunteer at Planned Parenthood in the San Francisco Bay Area — and it was there she found the passion that has defined a three-decade career in women's health care and advocacy.
She completed her RN training while working in Bay Area women's health, then made Maui home in 2001. After earning her graduate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification, she began practicing as an APRN in 2004 and spent the next decade deep in reproductive medicine — building real procedural expertise along the way, including ASCCP-aligned colposcopy training, IUD management, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, and pessary care.
In 2014 she earned her MSN with a family practice specialization from Saint Joseph's College of Maine, becoming dual board-certified as a WHNP-C and FNP-C. She then spent over a decade providing primary care in upcountry Maui — years that built lasting bonds and gave her a rare, ground-level understanding of this community's health needs.
Now Ann is thrilled to return to women's health here at Wahine Health. Alongside well-woman exams and contraceptive care, she is actively deepening her focus on menopause — tailored, evidence-based care for women navigating the transition.
Off the clock, you'll find her bird watching, longboard surfing with her husband, or walking her two poi dogs as they enter their golden years.
