Dr. Carrie Giordano, affectionately known as “Doc G” by her patients, is the founder and medical director of Wahine Health, a boutique women’s wellness clinic rooted in heart-centered, evidence-based care. With nearly two decades of experience as a board-certified OB/GYN, Dr. Giordano is recognized for her deeply personalized approach to women's health, from menstruation through menopause and beyond.
She holds dual board certifications in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Obesity Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Dr. Giordano is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP)—one of the few providers in the nation to hold this distinction—demonstrating her advanced training and commitment to expert, compassionate care during the menopausal transition.
Dr. Giordano earned both her B.S. and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and completed her OB/GYN residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. After twelve years in private practice in Illinois, she relocated to Maui in 2017 and later established Wahine Health in 2022 to offer the kind of integrative, thoughtful care she believes all women deserve.
Her approach blends traditional medicine with lifestyle guidance, hormone optimization, weight and metabolic care, and longevity planning—always tailored to each woman’s unique story, symptoms, and goals. She is passionate about helping women feel heard, supported, and empowered to take control of their health journey.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Giordano has volunteered on medical missions to South America, providing critical gynecologic care to underserved women in Bolivia. She lives on Maui with her husband and their two rescue pets and enjoys hiking, snorkeling, gardening, and travel.
Dr. G changed my life, she gave me something I thought was lost after 39. I spent countless hours, days, and money trying to restore and fix what stress, age, gimmicks and empty promises were taking from me. I honestly had given up and just tried to "learn" to accept myself with all theses obstacles or "flaws" I honestly felt bad after our first visit as I unloaded all my past negative experiences and doubt she would do any better than then last guy I gave all my money and time. I wish I had all day and all the words to tell you about my exceptional experience. This review is long over due my journey is still going but I am not alone with all the staff, Bonnie, Oceania and others plus my girl Dr G. my journey so far has been nothing short of life changing. I followed Dr. Giordano from Maui Medical Group. She pleasant, warm and easy to talk, making my annual visits enjoyable. I hope she stays on Maui a long long time.
I was terrified to get a Pap smear it had been 7 years due to previous negative experience . After walking in to the facility it almost feels like a spa , not a medical facility . Emma is the best NP, she is kind , attentive and gentle. I didn’t even know she completed the Pap smear that is how gentle she was . I highly recommend this place especially if you are anxious like me .
Thorough and personalized care, Dr. G took her time to listen to my concerns and tailor a treatment plan to my unique situation. Beautiful, clean office, variety of services in one location. Awzul right downstairs also has excellent wellness options. Highly recommend.
This is the absolute BEST medical care I have received on Maui. Ellen Kamenar is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and genuine. I didn't realize they weren't included in my network until after my initial visit so I sought care elsewhere within network. Huge mistake! Ellen continued to follow up with me regarding labs, imaging and answering my questions when no one else would. I decided to return to Ellen for medical services even though she is out of my network. So worth it for the care I receive. The facility is clean and the office staff extremely nice. I highly recommend!!!
